Georgina Deakin

Occupational Therapist

Georgie is Oxford Head Injury Services’s qualified Occupational Therapist. She brings direct experience in working with adults and young people who have sustained a range of acquired brain injuries. As an Occupational Therapist, she assesses people’s needs in relation to their day to day living and formulates person centred plans to provide solutions to these challenges, increasing personal independence. This may be in the home, with adaptations or in relation to engaging in specific activities, hobbies or general community integration. She also brings knowledge and direct experience of Case Management and the benefits of legal support in relation to brain injury rehabilitation outcomes.

Georgie is a central figure in Oxford Head Injury Services’s structured rehabilitation pathway and brings a collaborative approach to working in a patient and family centred way.

In her personal time, she is a country girl and enjoys baking, cooking, a variety of crafts and loves to travel…especially to the mountainous regions of Europe to Ski.
