Mandy has a background working across a wide range of health and support sectors. Having worked within the NHS environment for many years Mandy understands that being in hospital and the discharging home can be a daunting experience for not only individuals but for families and carers alike. Having supported individuals and families who have suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury she understands how frightening the future can appear, the need for resources to be in the right place at the right time and is passionate about securing and advocating for individuals to achieve the very best outcomes moving forwards.

Having gained her NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Mandy is fully aware of the challenges the health sector faces on a daily basis, the need for ever changing priorities is relentless. Previous work within Thames Valley Police, the Council, MIND and the NHS has placed her in an excellent position to listen to individuals concerns and worries, to go that extra mile in helping individuals.

I joined Oxford Head Injury Services in November 2020 as the Lead ABI Navigator as it provided me with the opportunity to return to person centered focused support. I have since been promoted to Service Manager providing me with more input in supporting Headway Oxford and the wonderful Team of individuals in striving to make the daily lives of those suffering with a TBI/ABI a better, rewarding place to be.
