Sharon Bond

ABI Navigator

Sharon joined Oxford Head Injury Services in September 2020, she has a BA in Early Years Education and her background is working in Special Schools. Sharon worked closely with a multi-disciplinary team that included Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists to support children and young adults with a range of impairments, which has given her a good background in advocacy.

Sharon’s previous working experience has given her the skills to utilise a person centred approach in support of those affected by brain injury. Sharon is based between the John Radcliffe on the Neurosciences Ward, the Oxford Centre of Enablement and Oxford Head Injury Services’s offices in Kennington.  As an ABI Navigator, Sharon is often the first point of contact for individuals, families and carers, listening, advising, and supporting individuals and their families through their personal journey in the early stages. Her interest is helping to empower people to regain or develop their self-confidence, self-esteem, and independence after a brain injury, enabling them to reach their full potential.
